Would anyone be willing to help me clean a turntable cartridge needle?

Hey, all!

I recently came upon an older turntable, and I’ve cleaned it up. It works fine, but it sounds like the cartridge is shot. Can’t really afford to replace it right now, and I don’t know much about cleaning them. Found lots of conflicting things on google, and I can’t get a close enough look at it to see its true status.

Would anyone be willing to help me take a look at it and potentially clean it up? Nothing to lose if I screw it up.

Please post back what you find. I have a similar…conundrum. Except last time I was working with it, something else blew, and now I have to figure THAT out first…
But I’d love to know what you find, so I can file it away for later, when I get mine running again, and it sounds like it’s underwater again…
