Hi! I am new here. I have been hoping to join a Woodshop Safety class soon. Unfortunately, I have been too slow to catch them before they filled up. I am learning I need to check the event calendar way more often! As I wait for the next Woodshop Safety class to open, I am reaching out to anyone who would be willing and able to walk me and my son (he’s an adult) through the safety precautions on the table saw. This is the only piece of woodworking equipment I need for my project that I don’t already own at home. We are available on Saturdays & Sundays any time between 8 am to 7 pm. We will already be at Makerspace on Sunday afternoon for board games, if that time frame happens to work for anyone. We are happy to pay for your time and praise you for this act of kindness! 
Hi and welcome to the Woodshop. Under our training program, which is primarily for safety & operating rules specific to DMS, we don’t offer an a la carte tool authorization. Our major tool authorization system includes all of the large tools as a single permission. Stay vigilant watching the calendar. Since it takes a bit of time between when the instructor adds the class and the calendar actually displays the class, maybe an instructor can share when to be on the lookout.
I just submitted 2 orientation classes. They should be appearing on the calendar shortly. Can we assume your son is 18?

I took your Woodshop Safety and Orientation class on August 15th. However, it is not appearing on my https://whoami.dallasmakerspace.org/ page and this seems to be preventing me from signing up for some of the other Woodshop courses. Would you be able to indicate that I completed that course with you?
