One would think that while DMS is closed that there would be a reduction in broken tools. Wrong!

I broke a Level that was retrieved from the Woodshop Annex area. I was using it while on the manlift trying to level some electrical conduit in the warehouse area. I was monitoring the electrical contractors while they were on site and tried to help out. The plastic level did not survive the 20 foot drop onto concrete, but it did bounce a few times.

I mean, I still see a little bubble of water in the picture so I don’t think it was shaken up too badly. Funny how it seems the outer plastic shattered before the little glass part holding the bubble

It’s probably because the fluid is radioactive for it to glow so they have to be more concerned with that.

It will take significant convincing for me to believe that the bubble holder is glass on that model…
although that doesn’t technically negate the marvel.

It was all I could do to keep @TBJK from using it to level the HAAS CNC and the Metal Lathes during the Machine Shop move.
