I am a new member and have taken Woodshop Basics and Deepdive into Bandsaw, but I haven’t worked in the shop alone. Is anyone planning to go in early Saturday (7/2) or Sunday (7/3) morning that wouldn’t mind helping me get started?
I have a two 8’ x 18” planks of plywood that I need to cut down to more manageable sizes (already measured and marked) then I am looking to become familiar with the scroll saw (I’ve used the band saw but never the scroll saw).
Thank you! I’ll more than likely need the Miter Saw to cut down my planks and if the scroll saw is down, I will just practice cuts on the bandsaws. Please let me know which day will work best for you.
I think the Scroll Saw is operational - though it has been several months since I tried it; so it could be down.
Since the blades easily break, we require you to provide your own. We have the Excalibur EX-21. The manual states it uses “unpinned 5” scroll saw blades". Blade selection and installation are covered starting on page 11 of the manual.
