When he was doing my truck and sister’s SUV at her house in Durant, he said he goes as far SW as East Arlington when he has work. He makes a giant loop, says he often drives 400+ miles a day. Very pleasant guy. Gets it done fast.
I recommend him before doing a full replacement, $39 isn’t a lot. Will do at your work or at home.
If it’s just a chip and it’s small (roughly “quarter-sized” or less), a repair can be worth trying ASAP before it spreads—especially with these temperature swings. If it’s a long crack or it’s in the driver’s line of sight, replacement is usually the only real fix.
Two things I’d watch for when picking a shop:
ADAS/camera calibration (lane keep, auto braking, rain/light sensors). Make sure they can calibrate (or partner with someone who does) and will confirm it on the invoice.
Glass type + fit/warranty: OEM vs OEE can be fine either way, but ask about optical clarity, acoustic/HUD compatibility, new moldings/clips, and a leak/wind-noise warranty. You can check with Glass Genie Mobile Auto Glass Repair Dallas
