It’s hard enough to get people to use the wiki, I fear the discussion tab is a lost cause. I’ll link to this thread when I update the main page though, so at least there will be some record.

I’d argue the opposite. Convention is to not use the Discussion tab. I decided not to use it because it seems largely ignored.
I’d guess its because Mediawiki notifications arent very effective, accounts/usernames are different from the rest of the site, and there’s no good place for discussions that aren’t about the content on a specific page.
I started using the tab, then realized this and decided to use Talk. Would love to help improve Wiki discussions.
The convention is supposed to be…. or The original idea was… would be closer arguments, for all those reasons mentioned.
As stated, I’m sure I’m just being a pedantic ass, but I felt the need to comment anyway.
I don’t mean to take away from the great work you (all) are doing!
