What doesn’t affect the grid these days?
Good thing everyone in Texas will be watching the eclipse… outside!!
The price of tea in China?
But, but, but some will have to charge their EVs to get there and back…
I cannot help but wonder what that does to the range. EVs supposedly suck at towing.
Now that’s an Enviroruining Vehicle…
But if tea is cheaper people in Texas will boil more of it and the grid will suffer
Don’t everyone have a means to boil water using the sun? Oh yeah, that does not work during an eclipse.
And they pee more putting added load on municipal water and sewage systems, all powered by, you guessed it, the grid.
The ERCOT dashboard shows the effect of the eclipse on generation. I never realized we got that much from solar - scroll down to Fuel Mix during the daylight hours to see.
