Don’t everyone have a means to boil water using the sun? Oh yeah, that does not work during an eclipse.

And they pee more putting added load on municipal water and sewage systems, all powered by, you guessed it, the grid.

The ERCOT dashboard shows the effect of the eclipse on generation. I never realized we got that much from solar - scroll down to Fuel Mix during the daylight hours to see.
