• the first several images that showed up are not doable in the foot print of the machine
• nor are they metal in nature (which is the main conversation of the thread)
• they are not of items made on our machine
• and you misspelled “Shapeoko”

I’m just gonna call you out for being rude and tacky. It’s a shame that you took an opportunity to show off one of our tools and turned it into a disrespectful, unnecessary reply.

Can anyone show me examples of projects done on the machine?

I know we’ve had some stuff shown off that the shapeoko made, but having a devil of a time finding anything. I wanted to search the blog, because I know some of it woudl turn up there, but apparently image descriptions are not indexed for searching, by Wordpress nor Google, as far as I can tell.
To find this, I browsed to the PR category, which contains the “member show & tell” category, and searched therein for shapeoko.

The Shapeoko enabled me to make the side rails to construct (miniature) louvered shutters (which was like assembling a house of cards). This will go on a rustic miniature italian building circa 1890. The leaded glass window is made from microscope slides. Disclaimer: I did not make the hinge hardware (which won’t be attached until I make the walls, either). I made two marble automata this month, based on a popular scrollsaw project design. [image] I learned a great deal making the first one because there were design challenges in miniature that weren’t obvious. Tolerances of a few thousands of inches made the difference between marbles going up the run on the pistons, or not. Consequently, so did the size of the “marbles”. Shapeoko Test Cut using pieces of laminated plywood. I like the contrast! However, on small or thin areas (like the eyes), the laminate tends to fall off when the end mill gets near it. That’s OK though because it gave me an excuse to add googly eyes! hehe [image] [image]
