Depends on what you want. Also keep in mind there is a 25% tariff on all steel/aluminum …so cheap is relative.
6061 plate, 5052 sheet, 2024 sheet: coremark metals, king architectural metals, and metals4u.
Other alloys:
Eastern metal supply (they have a minimum order or $500)
Online metals (they are expensive but they have any alloy you could want and a will call in Arlington)
How large is large? if you need a 4 X 10 foot sheet, Coremark is possibly worth the drive. If you need a 4’ X 4’ Metals4U is likely as good of a choice as any.
All of the suppliers have their advantages an quirks. Metal Supermarkets vary wildly by location. Some are hobbyist friendly others are irrationally expensive.
Check Facebook Marketplace. I’ve seen places close to the space that have sheets. I have no real experience with them so keep that in mind. I just happened across them a few times.

Seconded, your note on Metal Supermarkets. I work next to the Plano location and will still take time to spend my money at Lewisville. Great folks there. I’ve made off with some great deals.
