Where to buy EVA foam in Dallas?

Hey Group,
Working on a custom packaging short run job and in need of Black EVA foam. Do any of you know of a good place to buy this stuff?

Hobby Lobby and Michaels have some, but it is only about 1/2 inch and all rolled up, making it hard to cut on the laser. So any other suggestions?

Wondering if any of you know if the fabric stores on northwest highway carry the stuff?

The fabric stores do not.

Have you looked at Uline?

Not local, but excellent stock:

Most of the local retailers are going to have rolled up stuff. What thickness are you looking for?

And take a look at this thread:

Foam Products of Dallas gets an endorsement;

And JoAnn Fabrics claims to sell sheets, though they may be rolled up.

Yeah,
Found that thread after posting. Popped by their facility yesterday. Nice people, but not sure of pricing yet. Doing some testing on samples today. Hopefully my little project is enough to get some good pricing and not smashed by a minimum order fee.

I’ve bought foam at TCH, near I35 and northwest highway.

If you want to know more about Foam Products of Tyler/Dallas. They are a great little company. The plant manager and main CSR are husband and wife and nice people to deal with. They managed to find me a great foam that gave me a 30% discount for a large off cut piece 55x64 inch.

Hi Everyone,
SoooOOOooo - I bought some EVA foam. However, it came in a roll, and so it’s not flat. I tried and tried and tried to flatten it out. And I did flatten it out some…

For Context: I am making a square /rectangular ‘box’ of foam to place a (two) battery packs in. The dimensions are roughly 2" x 3" x 5" tall. Anker battery packs.

Any thoughts?

Should I just look again and buy “square” or “flat” sheets of EVA and chalk it up to not being in a hurry?

Thanks
AJ

You can try heating it, a heat gun set to low or a hair dryer might work. But, take your time, because you can melt it if it gets too how.

I gather the Harbor Freight interlocking floor mats are untextured ½" EVA.
