What sorcery is this?

Just discovered that there is a magical tool from the gods known to mortals as a clicker press. That thing is amazing, the price tag though :disappointed_relieved::disappointed_relieved::hushed: I still probably wouldn’t be able to cut a straight line with it…

an arbor press from HF will usually do the job.

typing DIY Clicker Press into your favorite search engine brings up several different home-made projects. They’re still not “cheap” but “much, much less than a commercial clicker press.”

My families company used to have a clicker die cutter. Must fun at work ever!

We have the 50 ton hydraulic press. As long as you do not use pennies, this will work.

The trick is sourcing the die cutters.

I’ve heard on leatherworking sites online that Texas Custom Dies is a good product for a reasonable price. I have not used them myself:

Die cutters usually run $150 per die (based on the pricing from the last job where they were used)

This is usually how the are used to cut leather

If you are making the same thing many times it works great. Or if you can’t fit the entire hide into a laser.
