What’s all the paper on the walls of the woodshop for?

The paper contains a list of all maintenance items for all the main tools in the Woodshop. During the October woodshop clean up day, I was asked to rotate the blades on the planer… I pulled the manual to see how do it and discovered several manufacturer recommended maintenance items. I asked when was the last time these items were performed and no one knew. Hmmmmm…

So I put together a system to list out all the manufacturer recommended maintenance tasks by tool and a way to record when they were done. The system will be tested at tomorrow’s Woodshop clean up day. Paul will take the lead on this. Please edit the list as needed. I will update and repost.

The one tool I am not familiar with is the multicam – we need a volunteer to identify all the maintenance tasks. If someone can do this, I will put into the format we are using for all other tools.

Thank you!

@themitch22 for all your multicam Q’s.

@bertberaht and the MultiCAM SIG did a fair bit of work putting together what and how and when maintenance is needed, and it’s on the wiki, if this helps.

The official Multicam Users Manual is linked in the references section of the Wiki (MultiCam CNC Router v1.0 Deprecated as of 07/04/21 - Dallas Makerspace) and extensive maintenance details begin near the bottom of the 3rd page of the document.
