So, why at home do you get 240v between legs and at DMS you get 208v? Because it is transformed differently.

For 240v … notice that the common is the middle tap …

For 208v… it is divided into three instead of two legs

I always like how AC power is discussed as Single Phase or Three Phase. There was actually Two Phase where the phases were out of sync by 90 degrees. Interesting but failed.
