What is this called and how do you do it?

This foil peeling stuff.

Peelin’.

Is it vinyl that’s embossed? Cut lightly then peeled? Would the vinyl cutter be able to do a light enough cut or is this something for like a cricut or something?

DUnno if its the same, but I used to have something similar than was based on fusing to laser printer toner. As in you laser printed black, then attached the foil, then ran it through a copier and it would ionly fuse to the toner part. Im betting its somethign like that. My rolls were only 3 inches wide back then (late 90s)

Use “toner transfer foil” or “toner fusing foil” as your search terms, it’s pretty commonly available.

Yeah – you can tell by the peel-away that there’s no cutting involved.

Siser also makes an heat transfer adhesive that can be cut on a vinyl cutter and used with the foils.
