If someone can tell me the brand/model of our leather sewing machine, I could add it to the Creative Arts section of Wiki Tools.
I assume it’s 110V, and training is required? Is it donated or loaned or owned?

The Pfaff is DMS owned. Need model number - will get you today when access computer.
The REX is loaned by @hasbridge he knows model it is a knock off of.
Aha! I just searched the older posts for Pfaffenbeast and found it! Apparently it’s a model 130. Just need the info on the REX now. Thanks.
rex-163 I believe on loan
Fibers:
Kiwi is the brand of spinning wheel
We also have a drum carder
@kyrithia can fill in any other holes
@bitta can tell you some of the more substantial leather tools we currently have.
@hasbridge Harold, can you help Chris out - you know more about it than anyone.
Chris, I believe Harold put a Link somewhere on the machine on usage.
The REX is on loan from me, it is model 607. It’s a chinese clone of a Thompson Mini-Walker. Most portable walking foot machines are a clone of the Thompson, but the best one I know if is the Sailrite LS-1. The REX has an upgraded balance wheel from Sailrite, which gives it more torque for punching through heavier material. The manual for the LS-1 is very well done, and the steps are the same as our machine:
Re fiber tools for wiki
Hm (oops, had forgotten about this page), I can take pics and write up info for the fiber tools while at space for next spinning class (August 9) probably.
When I get it all collected:
what’s best format to relay to someone? (Spreadsheet, etc?)
who to send it to?
I’m glad to make this wiki update if that helps - or someone else can if they feel passionate about it. You can send the stuff to me (PM me for a real email address). Pretty much any format from which I can cut/paste is fine because I’m going to have to put it into html text anyway. Spreadsheet is awesome.
Also, if there is a collection of related tools, they don’t need to be itemized/photographed separately.
Thanks for doing this!
I wish I got along with the Wiki and its search better (I suspect it does not index 3 letter words, like “REX” or “130”).
I knew I’d uploaded a manual for this last time Harold mentioned it’s being “just like” the Sailrite. Couldn’t find it to point it out.
Just found it now, whilst doing something else, for what that might be worth…
PS Yes, I searched the wiki for “sailrite” but nothing is returned on that… Wonder how we could fix that?
PPS just figured out if you search “multimedia” it will search files and their descriptions, which apparently does NOT occur if you leave it at “content pages”. I assume this is news only to me.
Searching the Wiki is a known issue. I’m not sure anyone has any good suggestions.
I posted a link to that same manual, from the Tools page. I didn’t realize you had already uploaded it …
I DID know I’d done it, and could find NO TRACE on the wiki nor Talk, so I kept my yap shut.
Then, as usual, once I stopped looking and forgot about it, along it comes…
It’s all good; just wish I could have found it in time to save your extra work!
