Wax resist is stuck

I may have gone overboard with waxing the bottom of one of my first pieces. I can’t seem to get it off. Can I sand it off on one of lapidary wheels?

We have a sanding bat, somewhere. Don’t mess up the lapidary equipment.

The last time I saw the sanding wheel, it was in the standalone drawer unit at the end of the “In Progress” shelves, buried in the bottom drawer under the Giffin Grips.
