Hmmmā€¦vote an incumbent out of office. Is their competition any better?

Voting against candidates versus voting for candidates?

I have voted in every national and state election since Iā€™ve been eligible. Iā€™ve never been able to vote for anyone for President, and I rarely find someone I can vote for in most other elections. I almost always have vote against someone.

I used to think itā€™s just that Iā€™m cranky, but I find out that itā€™s true of the vast majority of voters who arenā€™t policy wonks. I donā€™t know if this is a symptom of negative campaigning, polarization of the electorate, or the need for candidates to focus on voting groups. Itā€™s hardly inspiring regardless of the reason.

My 2020 campaign t-shirt supported Statler and Waldorf ( the hecklers from the Muppet Show)

I think my most recent political shirt/sign want was for Gelnick McWawa. (From ā€œCheersā€)

Edit: oh hey, I found a copy of the ā€˜memeā€™ Iā€™d made at the time.

 Are you thinking of putting it on a shirt? Iā€™d be happy to help with any tweaks for printing, or was it just a fun political statement? Let me know how I can assist?

Iā€™d really like to put it on a shirt. Iā€™ve been wanting to take a screen printing class, but the timing hasnā€™t worked out yet.
