So after 36 years - the double sided industrial strength tape holding on the stainless steel frame to our microwave plastic door frame finally failed.
I am removing the tape residue from the frame.
Now to my question - Anyone got a recommendation as to brand for solid industrial strength double sided tape to replace it?
Obviously the double sided 3 m cheap stuff from Michaels won’t do.
Use automotive double sided 3M tape. It’s the gray one.
I think automotive trim tape is just the ticket. Never would have thought of that.
JUST in case it snows in my kitchen - hehehe -
But seriously - gonna try the automotive tape. Rated for extreme use and weather - it should work out great.
I have several varieties of VHB tape. I have had mixed results over the years. Some is been on machines for 10 years without issues. Some I put on & it comes off easily. IE the antenna for the RFID can.
3M or Gorilla double sided clear is crazy strong.
