You could try this in a new thread. Some folks with other strong IDE preferences might be avoiding this particular thread.

@talkers is correct on that. IDE’s are like brands of TP, everyone has their favorite and will follow RotI Rule #11 about it
even though they all get the job done.
Doesn’t mean one shouldn’t host the bake-off. In fact feel free to do so. I’ll be the guy there running my browser inside my ide via the command line and p0wning all the newbs with my regex fu all from a android tablet.
There a version of VS code for the Mac. You really should take the time to install it and check it out. I don’t think it will be a waste of your time.
So, when’s the IDE bake-off? Do I need to bring pizza for everyone?
