Virtual Reality Headsets

Which VR headsets are available at the DMS? What training is necessary? Are there any flight sim loaded?
Thank you!

Our tools are listed on the wiki: https://dallasmakerspace.org/wiki/Tools

I also believe @Team_Digital_Media has acquired a few things as well which should be on that page but one can say we have a:

HTC Vive Virtual Reality Kit

and @Team_VCC has some equipment for Google VR

Vive for sure. I don’t think there’s a training class though there were classes to introduce people to it there for a bit.

As collective we have every basically every companies headset & dev kits.
But mainly Oculus Quest, Rift S, Go.
The HTC Vive needs to be hooked up but its here
Which one are you looking for?

@anonymous_bosh has a bunch and brings them up here most days.

The Rift S. DMS has one?!?
Is there any DCS World software loaded?
Any flight sims?
Thank you!

Actually probably like 4-6 of them between a couple people here

I just remember everyone playing 4 player games in rec room in different rooms at the space a couple days ago

Not sure what is loaded and not loaded game wise.

They also took them to teach/introduce some young girls in STEM this week & we’re doing a presentation on VR/AR at capital factory with them in a few weeks.

Seriously just talk to Anderw. He gets happy in all sorts of places when people talk to him about headsets & VR.

Does anyone here have a HP Reverb? Like it?
Happy New Year, all!

I just bought a computer rig for VR and looking for a decent headset that won’t make me poor and won’t go black. I’ll be running DCS World flight sims.

I’ve never seen anyone with one at the space.
DMS has the HTC VIVE & some Oculus dev kits around.
A few people have Oculus Quests around

Working towards Vive Pro VR & magicleep AR with no timeline in sight
