Here is another thought…
Some time back, a company in the aircraft interior business donated a bunch of material. Try to find out whether they have more or if another member have some to space. Real leather can be lasered.
The beginning of October is the goal.
I know. But a full body suit covered with leather scales is HEAVY. The current version of the suit has some parts that have leather scales, and we have extreme issues with those scales curling. And using thinner leather to deal with weight makes them even more likely to curl. It also doesn’t help that he LOVES the particular vinyl he found, too.

And i should add, i need the completed suit at the beginning of October. So the sooner i can get scales cut, the better.
