Vinyl backing tape?

I can’t find the backing for the vinyl. It’s normally on the desk but it’s not there now. Anyone know where I can find it?

Disregard, I was looking for the clear one but I see the off white one now.

Yeah the 6" clear is empty. I will see about ordering some more. Having the clear backing was super handy

Could you please look for one without the grid lines? I find them disconcerting, trying to align them with the decals, and then applying the decals.

I agree! If you find any links to any good products let me know. I’ll do my own searching also

Dollar Tree’s clear contact paper is a great deal at a dollar. Excellent tack. The size (18"*52") really isn’t super convenient for the space to stock though, so the quest continues.

I get mine from signwarehouse.com because they’re located in Sherman TX, so shipping is quick.
(and only ten bucks, which isn’t bad considering the weight and bulk of some rolls)

I also like the clear stuff and dislike the grid pattern. I haven’t tried a lot of brands, but I like R-Tape Clear Choice and they have a good reputation it seems.

I haven’t shopped around on this stuff in a while though, so there may be a better vendor. I bought a roll of 10.5"x100 yard more than a year ago and I’ve still got a decent amount left.

EDIT: looks like uscutter is about ten bucks cheaper, but they’re in Seattle.

Choosing high tack vs. low tack kind of depends on the vinyl it’s being applied to and the subtrate it’s going on. Here’s an article to help decide. Like all things, YMMV

That’s great info Daniel. Thank you

Will be at the space on Wednesday along with a replacement of the butcher paper. Whomever finds it first please give the drawing media to @mreynolds or @missydee1206 to put in the teacher cabinet - for @MrsMoose drawing class coming up and put the other items where they belong in the room.

Graphics Solutions Group is local (on Spring Valley between Midway and Inwood) for quick pickup order and prices are good. I personally like the Main Tape line as I have experienced a rash of edge curling with the R Tape.
