Vinyl and Glass Etching classes on the calendar

There has been strong interest for the glass etching classes. I pair this with the Vinyl class fist, so you can learn to make your own stencils. I have both on the calendar for Thursday.

Glass Etching class - spots avail

I have spots avail in tomorrow’s Glass Etching class. What is glass etching, and what does the class cover? We use a mild acid to etch a custom design into glass. Using the vinyl cutter, we create a mask for the image. Apply it to the glass, then brush on the acid. You get to do this in the class, and go home with your personalized item. Has anyone tried etching with vinyl and the Vapor hone (water blaster)?

2 things:
Bring your own Design - Vector is best because we can scale it to match whatever item. If a bitmap, try 5"x5" and we can scale down if nec.

Bring your own glass - You get a free one in the class. But you are welcome to bring one or try more after class. a square or cylinder is best. Tapers are ok. Curves in 2 directions, like most wine glasses, are hard because the stencil will crease, and the acid creeps into the creases.
