Vapor Hone on some rusted railroad spikes

I’m teaching a railroad spike knife class next Tuesday in Blacksmithing and I’d like to use the Vapor Hone to clean up the spikes. They are all rusted pretty bad. I know I can use Evaporust on them, but I’d rather just use the Vapor Hone to make short work of it.

Is there any training required to use the Vapor Hone. I saw another guy cleaning up some of his spikes the other day and they looked great. I also have some hammer heads I’d like to use it on, too.

No special training, There are instructions on the side of the cabinet.

Awesome thanks a bunch!

Please rinse all off the blasting media back down into the sump when finished( using the water sprayer). Rinse the door and the glass as well. I find that machine dirty all the time because people don’t do this.
