Was wondering what happens to the used bandsaw blades? If we are throwing them away can they be saved for knife making purposes? I would be very interested in a few of them.

they typically get thrown out. If you are OK’d on woodshop basics, just check a bandsaw blade on any given day and it will likely be ripe for replacement. @Team_Woodshop might have a recycle plan in mind.

They’re on the freebie shelf right now I think, in the middle.

A new blade was put on yesterday… I will let you know the next time I replace one. I don’t mind putting used blades on the freebie shelf, but they will be folded and taped up to avoid potential injuries.
