Do we need to request to use the service bays now that the weather has turned cold and some of us can’t work outside anymore?
No any member can use the auto bays and tools to work on their car. Just make sure to pull in completely and not block the other side. Use of the lift requires training and authorization though.

There are rules posted in the auto area which you’ll want to be aware of… basically clean up after yourself and take any fluids with you for disposal.
