I have swapped out the 3/16" parting tool for a thinner 3/32" parting tool. The 3/16 is in the cabinet with the turning inserts should it be needed again. The 3/32 should work better for most aluminum projects. this gives us a thick and thin one for general use. cheers!

you’re welcome. You might check whether it is out a bit too much. I got some flex while parting yesterday before class. I didn’t have time to fine tune the exposed length.
Nick, i’m just realizing you were likely talking about the Sherline… I would really like a thinner parting tool on the Colchester if we can acquire one. 
Last night the parting tool on the Colchester didn’t have a bit in it. Not sure if we’re out or not…
the thin one is on the colchester. it is 3/32" thick. the 3/16" that was on there is located in the cabinet with the inserts should it be necessary. there are still some inserts for the large parting tool in the same cabinet.
Well, unfortunately I didn’t see that tool at all last night when I was up. @TBJK Tim, did you see it?
