Upcoming introductory classes: Arduino and Alarm that Tweets

In a couple of weeks, I’ll be posting a couple of beginner level classes. No experience in electronics or programming is required. These are not programming classes but we will look at adjusting programs to your needs. A goal is to show that with a few parts you can have fun yourself or help your kids see that technology is interesting. Classes will be free with all parts except a laptop provided. Classes will be presented on an occasional basis depending on interest.

Introduction to Arduino - Build circuits using various sensors with output to the screen, LEDs and a servo.

Introduction to an Alarm that Tweets - “Cheapest Website?” experiment will allow checking sensor status remotely from a browser and controlling components. “Alarm that Tweets” project will send a tweet if the status of a sensor changes. Wemos software for MacOS has been a real problem. The announcement will have details.

Its exciting to see all the new classes in electronics and other areas popping up. Consider what you could develop into a class. Even if you don’t want the $50.00 honorarium, your favorite committee can use it.
