Upcoming electronics classes

Build classes on making a bench power supply
—unregulated supply
–linear regulator
–switching regulator
–current limit (both short circuit and foldback limit covered)
Electronic fuse–fuse material may take 100ms to melt, a programmable fuse can blow in microseconds
Using EL wire
Fun with op amps—teach that old arduino dog a new trick
Flourescent light ballast. want to run that flourescent tube off of a battery
Transformer winding Do you want more power than you can afford?
Do you want it badly enough to put a lot of work into it?
Rotary encoder We explore the mechanism behind your computers rodent, so you can measure all kinds of 1 and 2 axis movement with your microcontroller
digital sine wave generation
phase locked loop intro theory
phase locked loop build a frequency synthesizer
rechargeable batteries*----another multipart class where each section is a standalone class
final section builds a multicell 18650 charger
state machine intro its amazing what you can do with a hand full of D flip flops, some NANDS, and an SRAM a common name for these circuits is PLC

I am going to start taking a hard look at the calendar to add this stuff.
Cheers and thanks for all the suggestions.

can we do these classes on Tuesdays?

I will attend all the classes if on tuesdays.

EE here looking to get better at bench work. Tuesday would be bad for me but I am interested in the series. I do have some background in the areas you list above so I’d also be happy to assist (I might be able to get some samples from my company as well).

Wow! Sounds like some great ideas for classes! Awesome!
