I’m assuming the VEs will also do testing for people who are self-studying for all levels on test nights?
(I’m thinking of taking Extra on one of those nights, but I thought mentioning it out loud would let some people who otherwise wouldn’t know know.)
That is a correct Statement. We will have VEs on hand to administer tests at all levels. Previous class participation is not required.
I am waiting on my VE credentials from the ARRL. If that is the VEC which will be administering the test, i can help out with testing.
Is there a particular book that we will need to bring to class or study from?
You don’t need to bring anything, although a pen and paper may help.
We will cover material in the class through PowerPoint.
If you wish to practice and study outside of class I can recommend Ham Radio Study on Android, although there are many options for both Apple and Android. Another fine resource is https://hamstudy.org/ .
Really, make it to the class and we will be happy to discuss further and provide context.
Much Thanks!
Testing VEs will be W5YI accredited.

Minor Announcement for the Classes.
The lectures themselves have moved to the Pillar Room. For the time being we still plan on holding our exams in the hands-on classroom.
We need a large screen to present material, which the Pillar Room has. I am currently working on getting more tables into that room to help with classes.
Thanks all.
Just to confirm, I has a potential conflict but it washed out - I will be on hand to teach the first session on Monday, February 9th.
@DHarris graciously offered to cover if Pat and I got stuck. Thanks Daniel, you are still welcome to show and teach but it is optional for you now.
