Turning wet wood

Please take note when you turn wet wood - the moisture from the wood will land on the lathe beds which will rust very quickly.

There’s some scotch-brite and a little vial of oil hanging on the wall behind the Oneway. I tiny bit of oil and the scotch-brite will clean it up pretty quickly.

And better to just wipe dry the exposed metal after turning wet wood.

Next time I’m up there to turn I’ll bring some paste wax and give it a couple good coats to hopefully keep the water contacting the cast iron down to a minimum
