I’d really like to attend this, but have a prior commitment. Please consider offering this class again in the future, perhaps as an after 6:30pm weeknight class since it’s only two hours.
I do need to re-learn how I sharpened all those fingernail gouges i have… and then how to use them. Because they are awesome.
Hi, I’ll do that. Caveat though is my last sharpening class had zero signups even though it was on the calendar for roughly two weeks prior. That’s why I set this up as “open sharpening hours” to answer and address specific questions and issues. I’ve also done one on ones with folks who have purchased a tool or tools. Incorrect sharpening has been fairly common since I’ve been a DMS member so I’m hoping to curb some of it.
Come on down… You use your fingernails to turn? Jeez… I need a better manicurist!
I will do my best to get there. Would you have tips for wood carving tools as well?
Hi, I’ve no special knowledge about carving tools other than the bit I I picked up in a carving class but I’d be glad to help if I can. I can sharpen most edges fairly well. I also wonder if stropping with compound might be a good alternative?
How about we check it out and see what we can figure out?
