Trying to find certain beads

does anyone know where i can find something like this

but in transparent red or orange plastic or resin? I’m using them in a scale mail project and would prefer to use clear/translucent beads for the accent pieces.

also, if anyone knows how to anodize a large stainless steel ring to roughly the same color, i would appreciate it

Dude, the supplier is literally water marked on your image.

@Nick those are metal. I’m looking for clear plastic beads in the same shape

Apologies,
How many do you need? If it is less than 100 you might be better off buying the metal one and casting them for your use. Luckily, these are small and likely not too expensive to cast.

not entirely sure exactly how many, but probably less than 100. it’s basically going to be a fringe on the scale mail project. I actually thought about casting, 'm just worried about getting the ring correct

LOL, they are there. I though I was crazy when I didn’t see them on my phone when I checked back and was not on my computer. PS this website design sucks on phones!

@halachal, I actually didn’t see those, thank you! But I need them to be red/orange tinted. Let me edit the original post

Dye the clear ones with Rit Dye. That will likely get you what you are looking for. Walmart caries the stuff.

How bout these? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100-Mixed-Color-Transparent-Acrylic-Spike-Charm-34X5mm-For-Basketball-Wives-Earrings/1943771377.html

Are you talking about dying the premade plastic beads? Would the dye affect the plastic and still let it be translucent? I’ve never used the stuff before so i have no idea

yes, if i can find them in orange or red, not mixed color. To the googlemobile!

I can’t guarantee results as I haven’t dyed these particular items in the past. But, I’ve dyed clear 3d prints and it worked well. The colors took nicely and lasted.

alrighty, I’ll give it a whirl

ooh, actually, look what i found.

Check out beadsbysandy Try an email to sue@beadsbysandy
That is our own SROriginals, Sue and she works there a couple of days a week
They have just moved and they are redoing their wevsites

I know that I saw some similar ones in a clear smoke color, They didn t have the top on them however, just a hole

There are several beading groups on FB, posting them there might be another way to find them

Never used it but what’s up with the ‘DIY Material for Basketball Wives Hoop Earrings’ description that all the linked sites have. What does a spikey bead have to do with basketball??

A quick google search leads me to believe basketball wives wear hoop earrings.
