Tricky capacitor replacement

My amp is lightly borked, as you can see in the pictures. I can see to figure it how to get the board or if the big heatsink housing, and I wanted to know if there is a way to desolder and replace the bulging capacitor without getting to the back of the board?

In general, no. You’ll need to get at the backside of the board. Even if you can manage to remove the capacitors, there will almost certainly be traces on the back side of the board that will require a new, clean solder connection which you cannot produce from this side of the board.

Oh yeah, that’s a very good point. Guess I get to figure out how to take it apart more.

Is it really bulging? Cut the colored sleeve and remove that black plastic disc from the top of the cap. It’s decorative and often bulges upward by itself, making the cap appear to have bulged when it hasn’t.
