Training/Authorization for Jewelry/Lapidary area tools?

Are the any upcoming Jewelry/Lapidary/Small Metals training events coming in the near future?

How can I become certified to use the machines and tools used in the Jewelry fab and Lapidary spaces?

Intro to 101 will get you signed off on the basics. Maybe @MossAgate could squeeze a 1v1 in? Our other two teachers are dealing with tornado damage and irl stuff rn.

Lapidary is every two weeks, maybe you can convince @Christykaake to give you a 1v1 on the Genies sooner tho. She likes Doritos and Cherry Cokes, :yum: and is a spectacular Lapidary artist with a killer slab collection. :sunglasses:

Also anyone that has tested out at Dallas Gem and Mineral Club can test out with us via the same Oval cab test.

I asked Infra if we could move the items stored in the saw area yesterday. Soon as we get space cleared, to hold classes, I will get the first class on the 18" slab saw up.

I am interested in any and all lapidary classes. I am certified on the machinery at Dallas Gem and Mineral Society, but happy to start fresh at DMS.

Nice! We have the same 40x30 oval test for the Genies here. PM me when you could meet up and bring a slab if you have something, if not we have a few agates and jaspers.

3 person class up for Sunday at 7pm. Should go live Tues/Wed please only sign up if you can for sure make it. Otherwise lmk what day is good for you and if I am around I can help ya get sorted.
