Hey makers. As a certified welder close to a associates degree it’s been mentioned several times to me especially by @procterc that we should host a train the trainers session or sessions. I know the welding department is severely lacking in properly educated teachers (no offence to the teachers here at the makerspace but I’ve had a few students come in with straight up wrong information, or at least misleading info).
As for the cnc plasma cutter I’d love to be able to teach people how to use it properly in my classes as well (and it would save a lot of time cutting out coupons for my classes).
I plan on bringing this up at the committee meeting as well but I also want to throw this out there to the people who wont be able to make it as well as the other makers who do have a great deal of experience in other departments of the metal shop.
