Hi -
We have a high school from Keller ISD coming at noon tomorrow. 40 juniors and seniors. So far, @jphelps and Johnnie B have volunteered. We can use another one or 2 guides to provide the best experience for the students.

Aw I totally get why this is happening during the work day but I’m sad I can’t help with this.
“This Friday” as in tomorrow the seventh?
Yes, like in less that 24 hours. They apologized for the late request. They are going to another event in the morning, and hoped to catch us after.
I can help.
Excellent. Thanks Chuck.
@Katelyn_Smith is also in.
I’ll try to make it out to help. Can’t guarantee it, but it is on my schedule. Home customers leave me alone.
Thank you everyone!
We had a wonderful team turn out to help today. This let us guide small 5-6 person groups throughout the space.
The teachers and 32 students were very impressed and grateful. They are members of an magnet school. This group was engineering students. They already have many of our tools, like a CNC plasma table and lathe and 3d printers. But not in one coherent space. Lots of wow factor today for all.
Many thanks to:

Thanks John,
To throw the praise the back at you, the teachers were also impressed you managed to pull together the support and tours in the 24 to 48 hour time frame. Nice work and thanks for the opportunity. It felt great to excite these kids with DMS. Especially enjoyed the discussions among the kids on how the $15 saving for the student rate could help offset the gas costs for the more than 1 hour drive they would have to the space.
Another interesting note from the Instructors on my tour. While their school has many of the high dollar tools we have at DMS, our members and volunteers fill the gaps to give better access to those tools than their school can even support. Having the tools is one thing, but having the training and support to use them is almost more important. Thanks to our volunteers for this, it is a point that many from the outside never notice, but this group did.
