Tour during school hours

Myself and an engineering teacher are interested in using one of our required learning days to visit some locations in the area to get ideas for our clubs and classes. We are with Coppell ISD, and some of our clubs have used DMS as members in the past. Because these learning days need to happen during our school hours, is there someone who would be willing to help us with a tour during this time? Thank you in advance for your consideration of this request.

How many people are you looking for a tour for, and what ages/age range? All guests must have a waiver signed then or ahead of time, and if under 18 it must be signed by a parent or guardian. (Or is it just you two?)

It will be just myself and one other teacher.

Awesome. What are some of the dates/times you are looking for? Tours can take anywhere from 30 min to 2 hours depending on how in depth you want to go. From giving tours/past experience with these requests, afternoons are usually the most likely to have someone available for a tour, but it’s possible to get earlier in the day too.

Would someone be available Tuesday or Wednesday of next week, 3/25 or 26th. We would be available between 9 AM and 3 PM. There is flexibility but it would be great to get the tour in next week if possible.

I should be able to do both of days. 3/25 I would prefer as late as possible in the afternoon. And on 3/26, a morning time around 10am would work best for me.

I’d like to chat with you as I’m working on putting together STEM outreach programs including one that’s a partnership between DMS, TAMS at UNT, and the MIT alumni club of DFW.

Wednesday 3/26 at 10:00 AM is perfect. We can plan on the 2 hour tour however we can do a shorter one if needed for your schedule. We would really enjoy talking with you about outreach programs. My email is [email protected]. Communicating here is good also.

I’m an experienced tour guide (I volunteer for the regular Sat tours) and can do a whirlwind tour in about 30min or do a longer tour around 1.5 hours. I think you should plan for 2 hours as we will likely want to talk about various ideas for programs/classes/outreach afterwards. My next engagement is at 2:30PM so we should have plenty of time. I’ll send you my phone number so you can text me if needed.

@GreenOrbs I should also be available that day. If something comes up feel free to poke me.

We are looking forward to tomorrow. We will be departing an engineering business location shortly before 10:00 so we should be there at 10:10 at the latest. We appreciate you!
