2009 model, AMD Althlon Neo MV-40 CPU, 2GB RAM, 250 GB hard drive

Has Win 7 Home COA sticker, but drive has been wiped and Peppermint linux 9 is loaded. Laptop response is a bit sluggish (maybe an SSD would be a big pick-me-up), contrast isn’t so hot unless at the right angle. But, otherwise, a fully functional, one-owner laptop that I hate donate to Goodwill if someone here has a use.

PM me if interested. I plan to drop by DMS sometime this week to put a potpourri of (subjectively) goodies on the freebie shelf, so we could meet then or I could drop in your storage. I live in Little Elm and have an office in Plano, so could meet there or in between sometime this week.

Last I heard the freebie shelf is on hold right now because of COVID

Thanks for the freebie shelf update. Since DMS has reopened mid-COVID, I thought I’d seen a Talk thread about things being left on the freebie shelf that weren’t appropriate. So I assumed that appropriate freebies were acceptable.

Oh – I think that thread was about folks just dumping items in committee areas. Electronics had quite a bit of random junk dropped off anonymously.
