Thank you to those that stuck around after the committee meeting for the demo of the Tormach. As you saw, we’re still trying to fully understand the profiling portion of the conversational programming. Rather than overthink it, I wanted to see if I could duplicate the test part using the profiling feature since it is an easy part. Here is what happens:
First the original ODturn part, created in 3 segments.
This is the same part etch-a-sketched into the profile toolpath.
As you can see it creates a nice contiguous design. The code generated was 1/2 the size of the first one.
incidentally, I was able to load and run a part created outside of the path pilot. The main screen shows the outline, but does not create any data in the profile screen. cheers!
