Tools for "Non-Moon Walkers"

Your metric cries in the wilderness are starting to be heard.

We’re buying a 20 pc set of Metric R8 Collets for the Bridgeport. Would like some input into the most common size cutters, primarily for for cutting smaller cuts, common mm drill sizes and thread sizes typically used. I say smaller cutters for slots, because if you 're doing a 12mm slot, you can use a 3/8th/.375" to create it. But smaller sizes probably justify a specific sized cutter.

To quote a great man, “There are two kinds of nations. Those that have been to the moon, and those that use metric.”

Only if your required accuracy is fairly low. The only way to achieve a slot sized with any repeatable accuracy is to use an undersize cutter.
