I’m new to the DMS community and recently took the Thunder Laser 101 course. It was a great class. I, however, need some additional 1 on 1 assistance to complete this upcoming project. I’m willing to pay for the laser time and the time being tutored. I’m an hands on learner. If there is anyone available this week and next week in the evenings (After 4pm) to tutor me, I would greatly appreciate it. If this post is not allowed please let me know that as well.

In addition to the Basics classes, we have project based classes (like the Rotary and the Living Hinge Boxes class) to help members gain more time and more hands on.

Hi, Haley. Welcome to Laser! Yes, it’s acceptable.
Keep in mind that the lasers cannot be reserved for a one-on-one.
If a laser is not available, you and your tutor will need to wait in the queue, which can take hours.
You’ll have more opportunity between 10pm and 10am, aka the “off-peak” hours, but no guarantee.
We have had Office Hours, but the summer + the demands of expansion planning have gotten in the way of me scheduling any. We reserve a laser for a couple of hours and provide an instructor for walk-ups.
If anyone in @Team_Laser would like to host Office Hours this week or next, Haley is our first student.

I don’t do “office hours” but will be up there a few evenings this week. Am happy to help you. Feel free to let me know when you’re going to be up there and I’ll see what I can do.
