I have been kinda looking around in my little spare time for storage ideas & solutions. So far I have found that the French Cleat to be the best that I’ve seen yet. By French cleat I would mean actually using sheets of plywood for the cleats to attach. I’m thinking that this might be a good idea for a lot of adjustability. Also can be made really inexpensively as well. I have seen cabinets & shelves mounted on this as well as single devices. Kinda wanted to get ideas thrown around that would maximize our space with little impact on floor space.

what about a piece of pegboard for the wall right inside the the door to the right to hang cases and cleaning rods and such? 1/3rd sheet, or half sheet of the heavy duty stuff perhaps. I don’t know anyone with a shop area that’s ever had pegboard hooks that doesn’t have 5 or 6 spares laying around to donate… Then there’s pegboard containers as well.
The french cleat idea is a cool one. Allows us to make all kinds of interesting storage solution with a single attachment plan. Plus, if we make our solutions into small cases you can take them off the wall and into a class with you.
