Hello, Nicole here - you know the one who’s not around but has ideas to throw out…ya, that’s ME! Yea, a perfect pain in the ass I know.

I went to a great archery place in Plano. Before we were allowed in we (group) were ushered into a room and an employee introduced himself and put a tape in a vcr (ya, you read that right kids). The tape was 7 minutes (or so) long but well done and thoughtful. My 8 yr old at the time understood the rules and norms. At the end of the 7 minutes the employee pops back up and answers all the questions the room might have had…and takes us to the shooting location to point out the gear and demo. The whole intro was wrapped up in 20 minutes.

WE STILL WANT TO DO MONTHLY “WELCOME TO DMS” MEETINGS? Ya, awesome…I think it’s a fantastic thing more power to it

Here’s my elevator pitch…We put together a short under 10 minute video of just the VERY VERY basics. Not safety, not specifics, but how to onboard new members into DMS a bit easier. Under 10 minutes? YA, under 10 minutes.

Possibly a fireball to grab attention.
What are committees?
How do committees operate?
How to find classes/meetings/committee meetings?
What can a new member do to volunteer/help/get involved?
How do you Venmo Nicole $400?
How do you volunteer?
Talk and how to sign up for talk?
Expectations of membership - cleaning up, storage overview, where to find first aid/cleaning supplies.
And introduce all the committee chairs and board members.
Contact info for committee chairs and board members.
A little drone action just for fun and possibly the board walking in slow motion away from a cool smoke effect or something 90’s jackass style.
Bam done.
Put it online just for the likes.
Play it before people take a tour.

I think so long as they are wearing their color change shirt, drinking a Crystal Pepsi and snacking on some Keebler Magic Middles; that tape idea sounds good.

Also we do have a YouTube channel.

Nicole we love you. Come to PR meetings :wink: In all seriousness something like this is in the works. We’ve just had a lot of initiatives going on in PR lately. A tour night intro video is being worked on for the three daisy chained TVs in the new lobby.

Surge has returned but slightly different formula.

We host them every third Sunday at 2pm. Having difficulty getting it submitted this month but that should be fixed this evening.

I kept a few bottles of Orbitz on my bookshelf, but they are nearing two decades old now…
