These subtitles are getting out of hand

Mods making their own sub titles for the talk forums is getting out of hand. Individual members don’t get to make them, why should you be able to use that power as a moderator?

We should be keeping the subtitles to important items like “board member” “auto chair” “treasurer” etc.

Not …
“Outlaw”
“Investor”
“infinity symbol” (does anyone really need to know I have a lifetime membership?)

I want “master of the universe” to match my profile pic.

There was a time when I would have opted for curmudgeon, however that window has closed.

Shouldn’t it be “Skeletor; Master of the Universe”?
Which begs the question who were the Masters of the Universe there any way?

You can ask any mod or admin to put what you want on your name. It is just limited because we don’t want someone coming off as a Board Member when they aren’t

I didn’t know that’s what the infinity symbol stood for. I mean a lifetime is finite.

I’d love to see mine say “Component Level Repair Guy”

So do y’all occasionally audit to ensure that people who aren’t chairs or vice chairs aren’t listed as such?

I’ve seen it on occasion but we normally catch it. Someone could automate it, I suppose.

Not exactly, but when we hold committee elections I remove titles from the former chairs/vice chairs and add titles for the new ones.

Committee chairs and vice chairs - Dallas Makerspace Talk is out of date as well.

Vice chairs are particularly difficult to keep up with as some of the committees don’t publish that information.

If you can PM me with what’s out of date, I’ll make the update(s).
