First, you should go to the Member Profile post (2nd pinned post at the top), and do that so that Talk recognizes you as a member.
Second, you should go through the Read This First post (4th pinned post) and interact with the bot. That will give you all stuff that verifies that you’re not a bot. At that point, when you click on a member’s name here, it will pull up their profile AND you’ll be able to send a DM. You should see their profile now, but you won’t have the button to click for a DM.
