Was at 75K earlier today…
I went to see this Unimog a few years ago when it was listed on a local auction for Denton County. Back when my nephew’s U1300L turret air dam would barely clear the roll up door to the automotive bay. Nephew’s Unimog below.
For those that are curious - this Unimog was member serviced at the Makerspace. Evolution of the beast in three images.
First pic is bone stock - and for him was a lesson in why it pays to have a pre-purchase inspection done before the buy, not after as in this case. Second pic, had it sporting new US Amry MRAP tires - the larger tires allowed for ‘cruising’ west on 380 to the offroad park at 68mph instead of 55mph in 8th gear…8 forward gears, 4 reverse (not everyone needs just 1 reverse speed). Third pic is after he got it back from (the same guy that bought the white one on BAT above). With his NATO aluminium insulated command shelter, more aggressive tires, a winch and bumper that weighs more than most BMWs, real air conditioning, and a lot of drivetrain upgrades and some rust repair.
It reminded me of this vehicle, the maurader. Nice to have if you can afford the 300,000 pound price tage.
The little brother…

It seems wrong that the dump bed frame looks sturdier than the frame it is mounted to.
