After taking @Webdevel’s field notes class, I have been scouring the interwebs for free patterns of stuff to make. I found a web site, http://makesupply-leather.com (not an endorsement, just information). that has some free patterns and some paid patterns. And they have build-along videos for some of their projects.
One of the free items with a build-along is a simple folding card holder like this (also seen in the show-and-tell thread):
And one of the paid items with a build-along is a passport wallet (I didn’t make this, it’s a pic from their site):
But, I was able to dredge up a free pdf pattern very similar to their design - like only the shape of the two card pockets is different.
I’m terrible at cutting stuff along the lines. Awful. I also can’t color inside the lines. Making a leather item from a paper template for me is simply introducing another place for me to screw up. So I turned the pdfs into acrylic templates that I can cut around, and made a set for DMS. They are located in the “bigger tools” leatherworking cabinet in the bottom section on top of one of the hardware boxes. Donation has been approved by @Bitta.

I’m having fun learning how to saddle stitch and eventually hope to speak with an English accent like the YouTube video guys.
