Tear down table project possibility

I’ll beg for help from Tim, Zach, Mathew and or others willing to do some welding & fab

I have a heavy duty steel table and legs ( came from a US Army arms vault ) that may make for a good engine/transmission, differential, transfer case tear down table.

A lip /edge would need to be added(welded) to retain any fluids and a hole to drain / catch them in.

A table such as this could reduce the amount of after project clean up (did I say clean up?) and reduce wear and tear on the wood top shop tables

I like the idea, I think we probably put a nipple & ball valve to help with clean up of the fluids.

Tim,

A nipple is a great idea!

Maybe add some heavy duty castors?

See you there around 7pm

I like the idea of a skookum steel table for automotive work. Save the regular shop tables.

Anyone else giggling about nipples and balls? No just me?

I’ll also be there. Sounds like a fun project.
