I have a 97 Taurus 6-cylinder. Does the DMS automotive shop have what I might need to replace the water pump? Would I need to take a class to qualify for safe use of the area?
I would guess it would only take basic tools we have, there are no requirements for using the tools and area other than following the rules (be safe, clean up after yourself) Category:Automotive - Dallas Makerspace
I would recommend buying a service manual before attempting the repair if you aren’t familiar with the procedure. (Or just generally researching steps online)
Thanks. I have had good results augmenting my old paper manual with Google, and my EE degree comes in handy for eletrical tinkering, but I’m mostly worried I will get stuck without some common essential that I happened to have overlooked, or need a just a bit longer wrench for leverage than I have.
